This piece is inspired by a walk in the woods in winter. I wanted to abstract the usual snowy landscape with subtle neutral colors and scattering artifacts that pop up in the snow. I was also thinking of this James Baldwin poem:
Nothing is fixed
forever, forever, forever,
It is not fixed;
The earth is always shifting
The light is always changing.
