Opal Garden
Inspired by the renewal and delicate beauty of spring, this floral necklace captures the essence of blooming gardens in West Virginia. Each piece is hand-cut from sterling silver sheet metal to create intricate negative spaces. The outline of the design is then soldered and fused to a second sheet of sterling silver, forming a solid backing. Lab-created opal is carefully placed into the cavities of the design and sealed with epoxy resin. To complete the process, the piece is hand-sanded and polished for a smooth, refined finish. This necklace is a tribute to growth, transformation, and the soft strength found in nature’s smallest details.
